Delhi : The popular instant messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is allegedly working on the capability to plan group calls, which is good news for customers everywhere. For users using WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.4.0 and part of the TestFlight programme, the feature is currently accessible.

The "Schedule Call" button may be reached from a new context menu that appears when you press the call button in a group and will be visible when the function is enabled, according to a report from WABetaInfo, a website that analyses WhatsApp.

With the help of this option, you can choose the time the group call will begin and give the scheduled call a name. All group members will be informed when the call begins so they can get on it right away.

The ability to schedule group calls for audio and video calls depends on the call button you clicked to display the context menu, therefore it's vital to remember this.

Because everyone in the group will be aware of the appointed time and may make preparations accordingly, this new WhatsApp feature will undoubtedly assist group members in planning their meetings and events in advance. Also, it would lessen the likelihood of missed or delayed calls, which could have a detrimental effect on collaboration and group communication.

WhatsApp is also releasing a new function that will enable users to prevent messages from dissipating on iOS and Android beta. Beta testers can now use the "Keep" option in the new functionality to stop some disappearing messages from expiring "option.

The chat bubble's bookmark icon designates preserved messages, and they are also listed under the "kept messages" part "section. Additionally, participants in the conversation will still have control over this function.

The option to prevent messages from disappearing is presently available to a small number of beta testers and will likely be made available to even more users over the next few days.
