New Delhi : Life of a smartphone user becomes easy when he/she can move his all data effortlessly from one device to another. WhatsApp had remained an exception when a person wanted to shift chat history from one smartphone to another, specially migrating between an Android and iOS. The company took note and is working on a resolution.

Chat history of WhatsApp are generally saved on the local storage of the device and it is not possible to move it automatically while switching between two devices; which is not a problem with other social media applications.

It has been learned that WhatsApp is working on multi-device support that will allow its users to effortlessly access their data on any of your phones, tablets, or PCs. Transferring chat backup is among the key developments company is working these days. WABetaInfo discovered the feature’s info page in the iOS app, but it’s not working yet.

Since there is no official announcement, it is not known when the new features will be released. WhatsApp has previously said that any unofficial means of moving chat histories across platforms, which usually involved third-party client apps, is against the company’s terms of service and can result in account suspensions.

WhatsApp had been bringing many changes in its application to make it more useful for its users.
