Why did Pinterest cut 150 jobs? check details

Delhi : Pinterest Inc is cutting off 150 people, or 5% of its overall employment, following a slew of technology companies that are laying off workers to slash costs.

The report stated it cited a person familiar with the business as saying that the affected employees were alerted on Wednesday by the digital-search startup that enables users to build online pinboards.

Though not all affected equally, the job layoffs came from teams across the San Francisco-based corporation.

Job losses were confirmed by a corporate representative, who told Reuters that organisational adjustments were being made to better position the company to carry out its priorities and long-term plan. But the representative wouldn't specify how many jobs will be eliminated.

According to the spokesman, Pinterest will provide parting packages, perks, and other services to assist all impacted workers during the transition.
