X launches long articles for premium members

New Delhi : There have been a long demand for long articles in X (formerly known as Twitter). For premium members and verified organisations, the company has now rolled out long form articles.

“Today, we are excited to announce Articles, a new way to write and share long-form content with your followers on X,” X wrote in a post on the platform.

In the latest feature, basic text editing interface has been integrated with the platform where article composer can do formatting via various options like bold, italic, strikethrough text, bullet points and numbered list. In addition to this, the user will be allowed to embed images and videos in their articles for better storytelling and visual interest.

The articles can be accessed by users profiles and followers timeline via new articles tab, similar to regular X post. For premium subscribers, the available character limit in the articles is above 25,000 characters.

To make them appear differently, the company has given a unique icon and layout to distinguish them from regular posts.
