Xiaomi's mega launch event showcasing Redmi Book 16 2024, Redmi Watch 4, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, and Redmi K70 this November 29
Delhi : Next week's Redmi K70 launch event will feature more than just a new lineup of smartphones, according to plans indicated by Xiaomi. For context, the officials have hinted to the Redmi K70E and Redmi K70 Pro, which would come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipsets, respectively. It has also revealed that three more devices, other from the rumoured Redmi K70, would be there.
The Redmi Book 16 2024 is the first, a redesigned gaming laptop with a 47 W CPU. The Redmi Book 16 (2024) may be the Xiaomi TM221 that appeared on Geekbench a few days ago. It has three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C (presumably Thunderbolt 4), HDMI, a 3.5 mm socket, and a fingerprint scanner.
To refresh your memory, the laptop was first shown on the testing platform sporting the Core i5-14500HX and Core i9-14900HX, two Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs instead of Intel's future Meteor Lake options. Although Xiaomi is still withholding the majority of technical information, it has indicated that the laptop would go on sale for less than CNY 5,000 (~US$700), highlighting its mid-range qualities. Furthermore, Xiaomi has only shown off the Redmi Watch 4's two colour options thus far, although it comes with five matching watch bands. The Redmi Watch 4 has a circular frame similar to the Watch Series 9 but a flat display and noticeable frame corners similar to the Watch Ultra series.
Furthermore, it looks that the Redmi Watch 4's only hardware button is a digital crown, and it also has interchangeable watch straps for further personalization choices. The Redmi Buds 5 Pro, a more expensive version of the Redmi Buds 5 that Xiaomi has shown off in black, white, and blue hues, completes the trio. Xiaomi has added more microphones to the new Pro model—possibly for better noise cancellation—as well as relocated charging connectors and a redesigned charging cover to set it apart from the standard Redmi Buds 5. The Redmi Book 16 2024, Redmi Watch 4, and Redmi Buds 5 Pro will make its premiere in China before expanding to other areas, as is customary with most Xiaomi products.
