Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has written a letter to five permanent members of the UN Security Council (China, France, Russian Federation, UK and the USA) seeking their intervention on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute with India.

A flight with 233 passengers on board made an emergency landing in Boston after smoke burst out from coffee making machine due to overheating and the crew failed to switch it off.

At least five people lost their lives after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck central Italy on Wednesday morning. One mayor reported a family of four trapped under the debris without signs of life and another said simply: “The town isn’t here anymore.”

At least 30 people lost their lives and over 100 have been injured in a bomb blast at a wedding party in Turkish city of Gaziantep near the Syrian border. The blast is suspected to be carried out by a suicide bomber, whose identity is yet to be revealed.
