New Delhi : As claimed by many experts, the spreading of coronavirus is getting out of hands as the total number of new cases is increasing with an unprecedented pace.

A couple of days back, News Heads had reported that the new cases have jumped from 250,000 to 500,000 in one week and now it has been seen that another 150,000 cases have added in just 48 hours, according to a data shown on Worldometer.



According to the tally, the United States leads the chart with most number of positive Covid 19 cases with around 120,000 cases, Italy is on the second spot with 92,472 cases and China, where the first case of coronavirus was reported, is on the third spot with 81,439 cases.

India has also crossed the 1000-mark for total number of Covid 19 cases with 21 deaths.

135 new cases of coronavirus were recorded on Saturday in India, taking the total toll of patients to above 1000-mark. Fresh deaths were reported in India from Kerala, Gujarat and Maharashtra, taking the death toll from the disease to 21, according to official data from states.

With 29 new cases, Maharashtra has the highest number of Covid 19 cases so far at 186. Kerala is on the second spot with 182 cases.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the creation of a Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund where people can contribute and help in the fight against Covid-19.

"It is my appeal to my fellow Indians, kindly contribute to the PM-CARES Fund. This Fund will also cater to similar distressing situations, if they occur in the times ahead," he said. "This will go a long way in creating a healthier India," Modi added.
