After Imran Khan, Pakistan President also tests coronavirus positive

Beijing : Days after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan tested coronavirus positive, President Dr Arif Alvi has also tested positive for COVID-19 infection; interestingly both the leaders had taken Chinese vaccine.

According to Xinhua, the leaders were given Chinese vaccine Sinopharm earlier this month.

According to The News International, the President's news of testing positive for the virus comes almost 10 days after Prime Minister Imran Khan also tested positive.

"I have tested positive for Covid-19. May Allah have mercy on all Covid affectees. Had 1st dose of vaccine, but antibodies start developing after 2nd dose that was due in a week. Please continue to be careful," Alvi wrote in a tweet.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had tested positive for the coronavirus on March 20 this year. The doctors claimed that since he was given vaccine 2 days before, the vaccine did not get much time to show its effect.

Pak PM Imran Khan's wife has also tested positive for coronavirus.
