New Delhi : Team Australia arrived in Pakistan to play their first tour in the nation in almost a quarter-century. They will be staying in Pakistan for about six weeks and under high security.

Pakistan has been the last choice for any team to visit and play games due to its terror attack image. In 2009, Sri Lankan team's bus was attacked.

After a suicide attack at Lahore church, Australia had banned playing in Pakistan for five years.

They had last played in Pakistan in 1998, winning a three-Test series 1-0 and blanking the hosts in the three one-day internationals.

Australia has been scheduled to play three tests, three ODIs and two T20s till April 6, 2021.
