Blue Whale Challenge: Youth makes hoax bomb call at Mandi Bus Stand

New Delhi : A 21-year-old youth surrendered before Himachal Pradesh Police admitting to his crime of making a hoax bomb call at the International state bus terminal (ISBT) in Mandi last week to complete a Blue Whale Challenge.

"Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Mandi, said he did it to complete the Blue Whale challenge. It was also revealed that he had earlier also tried to commit suicide by over speeding the bike," said a police officer, the Hindustan Times reported.

Mandi Bus stand in-charge Netra Singh had received a call on December 21 from an unknown number claiming presence of bomb in the ISBT.

Singh informed police about the call immediately and vacated the area for search of the bomb, but found nothing suspicious in the premises.

Police has seized Sandeep’s mobile and it is being scanned. Sandeep is a student of Masters in Computer Application.
