Colarado : A shooting incident has been reported from a suburban Denver school in Colorado, one student has been killed and several others were left injured. Officially, the identity of deceased student has not been revealed, but it has been learned that the student was 18-year-old. 

"It is with extreme sadness that we can confirm that 1 student at the STEM School was killed in today’s shooting incident. The immediate family has been notified. Douglas County Coroner Jill Romann has not officially identified the student is stating it’s an 18-year-old male,” Douglas County Sheriff tweeted. Notably, STEM School has over 1,800 students.

The Sheriff also urged people to not believe in rumours being spread in relation to the incident. "There is a lot of information out in public about details on shooting, which is not all accurate. We will update with accurate information as soon as we are able to do so. Please be patient as we want to make sure all info is correct," he tweeted.

Sheriff Tony Spurlock also mentioned that eight students have been injured in the incident where two shooters walked into STEM school and opened fire on students in two classrooms. The two suspects – a man and a minor boy – have been taken into custody and a handgun has been recovered from them.

"7 possibly 8 students have been injured. Two shooters in custody. SWAT still clearing school. Students were bused to Northridge Rec Center. Parents please have patience with reunification process," the DC Sheriff had tweeted, informing about the incident initially.

He also informed that a number of students were shot and wounded, adding that the victims are in the age group of 15-year-old and older.
