Manila : The death toll in the blast that rocked Philippines' Isulan town has risen to two, police said on Monday.

A 15-year-old girl, who was among the 15 people injured in the blast, later succumbed at the hospital on Monday, Xinhua news agency quoted police chief Noel Kinazo as saying.

On Sunday night, an 18-year-old boy had died at the scene when an improvised explosive device ripped through an internet cafe in Sultan Kudarat province's Isulan town.

This is the second blast within a week. On August 28, a homemade bomb exploded in the town, killing three and injuring more than 30 others.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombings.

A fresh explosion took place on Monday in a port in Masbate, damaging Philippine army and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) boats. No injures were reported.

Two PCG boats were damaged while an army boat was totally destroyed.
