Donald Trump now hits Asian nations with tarrifs

Washington : The POTUS has expanded his tarrif territory to the Asian nations, including its key allies like Japan and South Korea. He has released letters to various trading Asian partner nations informing them on the reciprocal tarrif, which comes into effect from August 1, 2025.
He posted two letters. First one mentioned about the reciprocal tarrif of 25% to be imposed on Japan and South Korea. After some time he posted another letter with a mention of nations like Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, South Africa, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Tunisia, Malaysia, Serbia, Cambodia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
It must be noted that in past couple of days, Donald Trump has cleared his intentions on releasing the tarrif letters to various nations before the deadlines for trading associated to conclude negotiations.
Till the time, this news is being written, Trump has issued tarrif letters to seven countries - Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Laos, and Myanmar. Check out the list below:

In the letter sent by Donald Trump to the nations like Japan, he mentioned, "Starting on August 1, 2025, we will charge Japan a tariff of only 25% on any and all Japanese products sent into the United States, separate from all sectoral tariffs. Goods transhipped to evade a higher tariff will be subject to that higher tariff."
However, he also mentioned that he is willing to reduce these tarrifs if the nations change their trade policies and reduce the tarrif for the US.
