Dr. K A Paul Urges U.S. and Global Leaders to Stand with Zelensky, Warns of Escalating Conflict

New Delhi : Dr. K A Paul has issued an urgent call to U.S. lawmakers and world leaders in response to the latest developments between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Addressing the unfolding crisis, Dr. Paul emphasized the dire consequences of appeasing Russian aggression and warned of the broader implications for global stability.

"It’s heartbreaking to see what happened yesterday between President Trump and President Zelensky. It’s a miracle that Zelensky is still alive," Dr. Paul stated, highlighting the immense danger facing Ukraine's leadership.

Calling on the U.S. Senate and Congress, Dr. Paul urged bipartisan unity in standing with President Zelensky, whom he described as a "global hero." He condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin’s repeated violations of agreements and reminded the world that Ukraine has already suffered the illegal occupation of Crimea in 2014 and full-scale invasion in 2022.

Dr. Paul expressed grave concerns over the message being sent to other global powers, particularly China. "What signal, President Trump, is sending to the Chinese President? By appeasing Putin, he is indirectly encouraging China to seize Taiwan and Hong Kong," he warned.

As millions suffer due to the ongoing war, Dr. Paul reiterated the need for decisive action, stating: "We cannot allow 20% of Ukraine’s land to be illegally occupied, with millions killed or displaced. We must stand united for peace."

Proposing a diplomatic resolution, Dr. Paul urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to designate a delegation of Parliament members, offering to personally lead a peace mission to Ukraine and Russia. "If given the mandate, I will negotiate an end to this war and position India as a nation of peace," he affirmed.

With history as a peace leader, Dr. Paul referenced his role in the 1994 negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, when U.S. President Bill Clinton and Russian President Boris Yeltsin assured Ukraine of protection. "Ukraine was promised security, yet today, it faces destruction. Zelensky is fighting to defend his nation," he stated.

Dr. Paul concluded with a stark warning: "If we surrender to Putin’s demands, there will be no end. Senators, intervene now. Prayerfully, let’s stop World War III before it’s too late."
