European Parliament accepts Ukraine's application for EU status

Kyiv : A day after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy applied for European Union membership for his country, the European Parliament has accepted his request.

According to a report, European Union has agreed to make Ukraine its member.

The decision follows President Zelensky’s speech, where he called on the EU to “prove” that the union is with Ukraine. The resolution also demands that Russia withdraws all its troops from Ukraine.

The development came after the Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave a speech in the parliament and received standing ovation for his words.
