London : Ex- Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is currently getting a treatment in London and it has been learned that he will soon be shifted to the US for better treatment.

69-year-old Nawaz Sharif had left for London from Pakistan on November 19 in an air ambulance after the Lahore court allowed him to travel abroad for four weeks. The four week duration can be extended depending upon the recomendation of the doctor.

Nawaz Sharif is suffering from from multiple health ailments, including an immune system disorder causing low platelet count.

"Nawaz Sharif is likely to fly to the US on December 16 for medical treatment of his ailment there," the Dawn quoted Nawaz Sharif's family sources as saying.

According to a medical report on Nawaz Sharif in London hospital, blood supply to one part of Nawaz Sharif's brain is getting obstructed due to low plate counts.

The PML-N supreme leader has been residing at the Avenfield flats owned by his son Hasan Nawaz in London since November 20.

Last month, the Lahore High Court ordered the Imran Khan government to remove Nawaz Sharif's name from the no-fly list or the Exit Control List (ECL).

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government granted a one-time permission to Nawaz Sharif for four weeks to travel abroad for his treatment provided he submitted indemnity bonds worth Rs 700 crore.
