New Delhi : According to reports from Italian media, there was an explosion in the center of Milan, Italy on Thursday involving a van that was carrying oxygen tanks. As a result, a nursery school and residential apartment buildings had to be evacuated. 

There was one person who sustained injuries. Sky TG24 captured images of a dense plume of smoke rising from a narrow street near Porta Romana, located in the heart of Milan, renowned for its finance and fashion industries. 

Firefighters promptly responded to the incident as the flames spread to other vehicles and caused damage to the facade of one of the buildings, as stated by the news agency LaPresse. Additionally, one individual suffered from smoke inhalation. 

Fortunately, the children at the daycare were evacuated safely without any complications, according to Sky reports.
