Five men abducted by China's PLA in Arunachal Pradesh, probe on
New Delhi : Arunachal Pradesh Police has launched a probe following reports of five men getting allegedly abducted by Chinese PLA. The men had gone for hunting in the forest in Upper Subansiri district on the Sino-India border.
According to their families, the alleged incident happened on Friday in Nacho area of the district. Two men who were a part of the abducted group managed to escape and informed the police forces.
“I have sent the officer-in-charge of the Nacho police station to the area to verify the facts and directed him to report immediately. However, the report will be available only by Sunday morning,” Superintendent of Police Taru Gussar said.
Those allegedly kidnapped have been identified as Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker and Ngaru Diri. All of them belong to the Tagin community.
The families have urged the authorities to take the necessary steps and help them in bringing the men back.
