Floods in Dubai: Indian consulate issues helpline number for stranded Indians

Dubai : Heavy rainfall lashed Dubai in UAE in the last two days, accumulating water in many places. The Indian consulate has issued a helpline number and guidelines for stranded Indians in the city.

According to the Indian consulate, 971501205172, 971569950590, 971507347676, and 971585754213 were available for weather-related emergencies.

The Indian Consulate in Dubai has assured continued support for Indian travelers impacted by recent disruptions. Airlines are providing regular updates, and the Consulate is working alongside Indian community organizations to offer relief measures. They have facilitated communication between stranded passengers and their families back home. To ensure continued assistance, helpline numbers will remain active until the situation normalizes.  The Consulate reaffirms its commitment to serving the Indian community, both those living in and traveling to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Meanwhile, Dubai airport on Thursday announced reopening of cheque in procedures at terminal 3 for Emirates and Fly Dubai.

Due to heavy rainfall in past few days, the runway of Dubai International Airport was partially submerged, resulting in the cancellation of flights. This is the highest downpour experienced by United Arab Emirates in the last 75 years.

The rain in Dubai that caused widespread flooding across the desert nation stemmed partly from cloud seeding.
