India vs Pakistan standoff: US, UK, France Proposes UNSC to Impose Sanctions on Masood Azhar
New Delhi : The United States, United Kingdom and France have proposed the United Nations Security Council to blacklist Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar for attacking Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama n February 14.
The US, UK and France have asked the 15-member UNSC sanctions committee to subject Maulana Masood Azhar to an arms embargo, global travel ban and asset freeze.
Reuters: The United States, Britain and France proposed on Wednesday that the United Nations Security Council blacklist the head of Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad, which said it attacked an Indian paramilitary convoy in Kashmir.

It is expected that China will be opposing the proposal as the country’s UN mission did not immediately comment on the proposal. However, they endorsed India's action against terrorism. In a veiled reference to Pakistan, China had said that “those committing, orchestrating, inciting or supporting terrorist acts must be held accountable and brought to justice.”
