Indian doctor stabbed to death in US, patient arrested

Kansas : A patient has been arrested for an allegedly stabbing an Indian doctor to death in Kansas state of the United states. The cops have arrested the alleged culprit.

This is the second killing of an Indian doctor this year in the United States.

57-year-old Achutha Reddy was attacked at his clinic and the murder concluded on a nearby lane from where the doctor was trying to make an escape to save his life.

The cops have identified the 21-year-old attacker as Umar Rashid Dutt in jail booking records, according to TV station KAKE.

Reddy, who introduced yoga in his treatment, was mourned by fellow doctors and the community, who held him in esteem.

In February this year, another doctor Srinivas Kuchibhotla was shot dead. Both the doctors belong to Telangana state in India.
