Leave Ukraine at earliest: Indian Embassy advices citizens amid deteriorating situation

New Delhi : Indian Embassy in Ukraine has issued an advisory to its citizens against traveling to the country amid deteriorating security situation. It also asked the citizens to leave the nation 'at earliest' by any available means.

The advisory from Indian Embassy comes soon after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared martial law in the four regions of Ukraine that Moscow annexed and gave all regional governors in Russia emergency powers that open the door for sweeping new restrictions throughout the country.

Meanwhile, Moscow has not cleared the steps which would be taken under the martial law. But, it has mentioned that the new laws will come to effect from Thursday onwards.

The upper house of Russia’s parliament quickly endorsed Putin’s decision to impose martial in the annexed Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
