New York : A pipe bomb has detonated near Times Square in New York. The Police Department says it is responding to a report of an explosion.
Some people have been reported injured while no report on casualty has arrived so far.
Passengers from the subway are being evacuated for precaution.

7:12 pm - A law enforcement official tells The Associated Press that a man had a pipe bomb strapped to him when it went off on a New York City subway platform.
