Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuba receives PM Narendra Modi at Lumbini
New Delhi : Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Monday received PM Narendra Modi at Lumbini on the occasion of Buddha Purnima.
PM Modi has gone to Nepal on the invitation of PM Deuba. In the morning, PM Modi tweeted, "On Buddha Purnima we recall the principles of Lord Buddha and reiterate our commitment to fulfil them."
As per schedule, PM Narendra Modi will also take part in the Bhoomi Poojan and lay the foundation stone of the India International Centre for Buddhist Culture and Heritage, being built at the initiative of the International Buddhist Confederation, New Delhi.
He will also be visiting Mayadevi Temple and attend a special prayer there.
