North Korea fires 'unidentified projectiles' into waters, says South Korean military
Seoul : North Korea fired several "unidentified projectiles" into its east waters on Saturday, local media cited South Korean military as saying.
The projectiles were launched from a site near Gitdaeryong in Gangwon Province at around 6.49 a.m, according to the South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), Xinhua reported.
Those flew some 250 km in the northeastern direction before falling into the sea, the Yonhap news agency cited the JCS as reporting, claiming that the projects appeared to be short-range missiles.
South Korean and American forces are conducting their joint annual drills, called Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG), which Pyongyang deemed as a provocation.
