He also appreciated the government of China for helping Indian officials in the evacuation drive from Wuhan.

Over two days on February 1 and 2, the government evacuated over 600 Indians from Wuhan, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak in China.

The evacuated people have been kept in two isolated facilities one in China and second in Manesar.

India has put in place massive screening facilities at several airports, seaports and border check points with Nepal to detect coronavirus.

Till date three Indians – all in Kerala – have been tested positive to the virus. However, 700 suspects have been kept under strict observation for the symptoms of coronavirus.
