South Korea: PM Modi arrives for two-day visit, to be conferred Seoul Peace Prize

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seoul on Thursday for two-day visit. Before leaving, PM Modi said, “the growing depth and variety in our relationship has been accentuated by the harmony between our Act East Policy and ROK’s New Southern Policy.”

During his stay, PM Narendra Modi will be holding meeting with President Moon Jae In at his residence. He will also be addressing India-Korea Business Symposium.

PM Modi tweeted his agenda behind visit, President Moon and he would take forward “our conversations from last year on how best to advance the India-ROK partnership.”

"During our talks, President @moonriver365 and I will take forward our conversations from last year on how best to advance the India-ROK partnership. I will also meet business leaders, the Indian community as well as eminent persons from all walks of life."

Talking to media over the visit, Secretary East in the Ministry of External Affairs Vijay Thakur Singh said, “We expect a substantive agenda for discussion which would cover areas of bilateral cooperation, regional and global issues of mutual interest.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be honoured with the Seoul Peace Prize for 2018 in recognition of his dedication to international cooperation, global growth and human development.
