Students in Ukraine must leave the nation temporarily: India
New Delhi : Amid rising tension in Ukraine, the Indian authorities have issued an advisory asking the students to temporarily leave the nation.
"Embassy of India is receiving a large number of calls asking about the confirmation of online classes by Medical Universities. In this regard, as informed earlier, Embassy is engaged with respective authorities for streamlining of the education process for Indian students. Students are advised, in the interest of their safety to leave Ukraine temporarily, rather than wait for an official confirmation from universities. Updates received in this regard would be conveyed subsequently," the advisory read.
It must be noted that students studying in Ukraine have landed in a troubled situation as the parents in India are worried about their well-being under uncertain situation.
Media reports have suggested that many students have been staying in touch with the Indian Embassy. Ukraine has more than 20,000 Indian students.
Special flights have also been arranged by India to bring the residents back from Ukraine.
