New York : Tesla CEO and Twitter owner Elon Musk met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently on a four-day State visit to the US. Musk expressed his admiration for PM Modi's leadership role in fostering inclusive technology and digital infrastructure development in India. He acknowledged PM Modi's desire to support new companies while ensuring it benefits India's interests, emphasizing his own admiration for Modi's approach. 

In response to PM Modi's tweet about meeting business leaders in the US, Musk tweeted that it was an honor to meet again. PM Modi had expressed his intention to deepen India-USA ties in sectors such as trade, commerce, innovation, and technology.

Musk also revealed his plans to visit India in the near future, stating that PM Modi extended an invitation to him. He expressed excitement about the future of India and its immense potential, believing that the country holds more promise than any other large nation.

Regarding their meeting, Musk mentioned PM Modi's strong commitment to India, emphasizing the importance of significant investments in the country. Musk confirmed Tesla's interest in the Indian market and stated that the company aims to establish a factory in India by the end of the year. He expressed his admiration for PM Modi and their longstanding acquaintance since the Prime Minister's visit to Tesla's Fremont Factory years ago.

Musk highlighted the potential for sustainable energy in India, particularly in solar and wind power generation, which he deemed feasible due to India's vast land area. He stressed the need for stationary battery packs to complement renewable energy sources and the importance of electric vehicles in achieving a sustainable energy future. Musk also expressed his desire to bring Starlink Internet to India, emphasizing its potential in providing affordable and reliable internet access to remote or rural areas.

This meeting marks the first encounter between PM Modi and Musk since the latter became the owner of Twitter. Their previous meeting took place in 2015 during PM Modi's visit to Tesla Motors factory in California.
