Thailand soldier goes on a shooting rampage in a mall, 21 killed
Bangkok : A Thai soldier gunned down at least 21 people in a mass shooting at a mall, he also shared pictures and videos of the attack on Facebook.
The attack at the town centre mall in the northeastern city of Nakhon Ratchasima started in the afternoon at an army barracks, police told news agency AFP.
One Thai soldier - sergeant-major Jakrapanth Thomma opened fire - has been killed.
"He stole an army vehicle and drove into the town centre," police Lieutenant-Colonel Mongkol Kuptasiri.
According to the local media, the gunman seized weapons from an army arsenal before going ahead on the shooting spree.

The reports also alleged that he has taken around 16 hostages inside the mall. However, authorities have not confirmed the development.
Videos and photos of the incident which are being circulated on the social media have raised concerns and is making people panic in the city.
The gunman also posted photos and videos of the incident with several posts including, "should I surrender" and "no one can escape death".
Several photos of him wearing an army helmet and ski helmet inside the mall were posted on the social media.
