Tremor in Hindu Kush region: One man dies in Balochistan, several injured

Balochistan : One man lost his life and several others were injured after 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Wednesday afternoon, reported Pakistan media.

Tremors were also felt in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Eastern Uzbekistan. In India, tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.
Earthquake was strongly felt in Kashmir region, said director of National Center for Seismology.
"Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred in Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, it had a depth of over 190 km and hence was felt in Delhi & quite strongly in Kashmir also," said VK Gehlot, Director, National Center for Seismology

The epicentre of the earthquake has been located 35 kilometres south of Jarm, Afghanistan, as per the USGS.
The tremor struck at 12.40 pm IST.
