New Delhi : President Joe Biden's administration on Tuesday withdrew the coronavirus vaccination or testing mandate for businesses that was struck down by the Supreme Court recently.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) said that despite that fact that the mandate is being withdrawn, they strongly encourage that everyone must get vaccinated to avoid the coronavirus infection.

Recently, the Supreme Court delivered a verdict and ruled that businesses in the US cannot be forced to get their staff vaccinated or tested.

After months of public appeals to Americans to get vaccinated against Covid, which has killed more than 869,000 people in the United States, Biden announced in September that he was making vaccinations compulsory at large private companies.

The unvaccinated people were asked to present a weekly negative report and wear face mask while at work.
