VIDEO: 2017 first optical illusion involving 'slices of ham' is here!
Los Angeles : With social media trends on the rise, stories surrounding optical illusions have fared really well on Twitter and Facebook.
A new optical illusion picture surfaced on internet on Saturday showing a photograph of a packet of ham that has been upsetting people with its confusion on the internet.
This snap has been called by many as 2017 'first optical illusion'. The trend which first started with a dress turned into a bizarre series of events with many other things including dolphins, word searches, and other obscure things.
Now, thousands of people are scratching their heads and wondering how the image has the appearance it does.
The photograph appears blurry, while the packaging and background table are completely in focus.
Some observed, "This sliced ham looks like it's out of focus."
The picture was posted to Reddit by 'Melvin', and there's a YouTube video too, which helpfully explains how and why the ham looks fuzzy.
Explaining the scenario, Melvin wrote, “Proof for all those who doubted the realness of the ham. And no, it's not prosciutto, it's Coburger ham. Dutch, you know. And therefore wafer thin."
