Video: Shocking moment as doctors remove dozens of live maggots from boy's ear

New Delhi : In one of the bizarre videos trending over the internet, a doctor can be seen removing dozens of squirming live maggots from a boy's ear in Kazakhstan.

The boy had reported earache, post examination doctors found that the real cause of the boy's pain was squirming live maggots inside his ear, reports Daily Mail.

In the video, it can be seen that doctors carefully pulled the grey maggots one-by-one with the help of tweezers and deposited them in a surgical dish.

Over a dozen maggots can be seen in the surgical dish after the doctor completed his surgery.

The maggots are one centimeter long and believed to be the larvae of a bluebottle or blow fly (Calliphoridae).

The identity of the boy has not been revealed anywhere, but an eyewitness made a video of the surgery and posted on the internet, drawing the attention of several users.
