Delhi : In 2024, Kia will celebrate its fifth year in India with three significant portfolio expansions. Furthermore, it will include another EV in its expanding clan for the second time in the last two years. Later in the year, it is anticipated to unveil its EV designed specifically for India. A price announcement is anticipated during the 2025 Auto Expo.

Kia Sonet

The Sonet makeover will be at the top of Kia's 2024 action plan priority list. Before the car's worldwide debut, we exclusively provided you with the vehicle's specifications. Actually, Kia began accepting reservations for the Sonet on December 20th, with a January 2024 launch date. There will be three trim levels, three engine options, and four gearbox choices available. Kia's entry-level vehicle, the Sonet, is returning to take on a number of updated competitors, including the Tata Nexon, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Venue, and upcoming models from Toyota and Mahindra.

New Carnival

A new generation of the Carnival MPV, ranging from the base model to the flagship ICE variant, is planned. It will have a revised feature list, a more SUV-like appearance, and a new hybrid petrol engine. It will be available in seven and nine-seat configurations in addition to a fully equipped four-seat model known as the Hi-limousine. It is available with a 3.5-liter V6, a 1.6-liter full-hybrid, and a 2.2-liter diesel engine—the latter of which will be available in the Indian market—around the world. We anticipate a mid-2024 debut and a price tag of about Rs. 50 lakh.

EV9

The new EV9 three-row car from Kia will be the most anticipated debut. Conceptualised during the 2023 Auto Show, the production model will be on sale in 2024. Depending on the variation, India should be able to purchase it in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, with a 400–500 km range. All types are three-row vehicles; the only one with six seats is the 4WD GT-line. When commercial vehicles are taken out of the picture, the EV9 will be the first three-row EV in India. It could be available in a CBU configuration and cost around Rs. 90 lakh.
