Delhi : The only electric car Mahindra & Mahindra has available in India is currently being sold at a significant discount of 1.25 lakh. If the discount is used, the XUV400 electric SUV would be available for less than 15 lakh in September. The Mahindra EV was introduced in India in January of this year and is anticipated to receive a redesign shortly. It has a stated range of up to 456 kilometers on a single charge. The electric vehicle is the Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV of the automotive world.

The Mahindra XUV400 is being given at a significant discount for the second time in as many months. Only a cash discount is included in the perks. Mahindra does not provide any additional perks, such as uncompensated accessories. The XUV400 discount will be available on the models without Electronic Stability Control (ESC) through the end of this month.

There are two XUV400 models to choose from: EC and EL. The 34.5 kWh battery pack used in the EC model is said to have a range of 375 km (MIDC) on a single charge. The electric SUV's EL version has a larger 39.4 kWh battery pack. Without a plug, the top-tier XUV400 has a range of 456 kilometers (MIDC). The automaker provides a 7.2 kW AC charger for both types. A 3.3 kW charger is also included with the base EC model.

A front-axle-mounted electric motor powers the Mahindra XUV400. It has a maximum power output of 148 bhp and a maximum torque output of 310 Nm. The electric car can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV is also fully equipped. It features an AdrenoX UX-powered 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, linked car technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and OTA update compatibility.

Mahindra entered the market for electric SUVs a little later than expected. The Tata Nexon EV boasts more than 450 km of range, but the XUV400 hasn't been as popular. Mahindra, though, intends to improve its EV game with a number of electric SUVs planned for release in the upcoming years. The automaker recently tested at least three forthcoming electric vehicles over the weekend.

The Thar. e electric SUV concept was also on display by Mahindra last month in South Africa. It will take more time to complete the production version, and the debut is anticipated to happen in a few more years.
