Delhi : The Aprilia RS457, which debuted globally a few months ago and at the Indian GP, is one of the most anticipated motorcycle debuts. The RS457, being an entry-level model, will go up against the KTM RC 390 and the newly revealed Kawasaki Ninja 500, which is scheduled to arrive in India shortly.

Aprilia, the Italian manufacturer, has officially revealed the price of the RS457 for worldwide markets, much to the delight of aficionados everywhere. The Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light hues of the new Aprilia RS457 will set you back Rs 5.66 lakh ($6,799), while the Racing Stripes variant will set you back Rs 5.74 lakh ($6,899).

The Aprilia RS457 in Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light colours costs Rs 4.71 lakh (C$7,799) in Canada, while the motorbike with racing stripes costs Rs 4.83 lakh (C$7,999). While the costs look excessive, we should anticipate a lesser price when compared to the US and Canada because the Aprilia RS457 will be manufactured in India.

Specifications of the Aprilia RS457 engine

A six-speed transmission allows the 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine of the Aprilia RS457 to produce 47bhp. The motorbike is equipped with traction control, disc brakes on both ends, USD forks, 17-inch wheels, a quickshifter and a TFT screen, among other features. The KTM RC 390, the main rival of the Aprilia in India, has all of the aforementioned features, including switchable ABS. With an upgrade on the horizon, the RC 390 may gain an adjustable suspension system in addition to the new 399cc single-cylinder engine, which is the same as the one in the 390 Duke and produces 45.3 horsepower and 39 Nm of torque.
