In fog, keep a safe distance.

Make sure you maintain a safe distance behind the car in front of you when driving in foggy conditions. In winter, foggy conditions raise serious concerns for drivers due to low visibility. Make sure there is adequate space between your car and the one in front of you. This will give you ample time to brake if necessary.  Car driver should ahead perform emergency brakes, even a tiny space between them might prove to be lethal. This is one of the main causes of the annual automobile crashes that happen on wintertime roadways.

On highways, pay attention to the lane markings in limited visibility. By doing this, you can make sure you're staying on course and not straying. Additionally, be sure to abide by the traffic signs.

Make oneself visible by using lights

Verify that other drivers can see your car, both those travelling in the other direction and those travelling in the same way. While driving, turn on your fog lamps and headlamps. In order for other cars to detect you and your dimensions, make sure that the warning lighting are on. This makes it possible for other drivers to see your car when vision is poor because to fog. During the winter, utilise extra fog lamps if necessary. Use your indicators well in advance of making a turn to let other drivers know you're about to make a move. Make sure the lights are clean and provide adequate illumination.
