Film stunt goes wrong, two Kannada actors drown after jumping from copper

New Delhi : In a shocking incident, Kannada actor Uday and stunt-man Anil drowned after a stunt went wrong while shooting for the film ‘Masti Gudi’ at Tippagondanahalli lake near Bengaluru on Monday.

 

It may be mentioned here that as part of the stunt actors, Vijay, Uday and a stunt man Anil jumped into the lake from a helicopter without the harness. However, Vijay managed to swam to the surface, while the other two were unable to make it and drowned.

The film's unit immediately launched a hunt for the two but after hours of searching, they were declared dead.

According to sources, no rehearsal of the stunt was done prior and safety of the actors was at risk right from the beginning.

 

A FIR has been filed against the producers and stunt crew.
