'Baahubali: The Conclusion' fails to break 'Happy New Year' record

New Delhi : Baahubali: The Conclusion may have created several records on an opening day, including some unimaginable ones like biggest ever opening day box office collection; but the film still did not manage to break Shah Rukh Khan's record made with the film 'Happy New Year'.

With opening day financial records out, there is no doubt that 'Baahubali 2' is huge but Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year takes an edge on opening day figures for Hindi audiences.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' minted nothing less than 41.2 crores on the opening day for its Hindi version, beating several records made by films like Aamir Khan's 'Dangal', Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' or 'Sultan'. The film fall a little short from the figures produced by SRK's 'Happy New Year', which had collected over 42 crores on the release day.
