New Delhi : Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday sent Aam Aadmi Party minister Sanjay Singh to police remand till October 10, 2023 over his alleged connection in Delhi liquor scam case. Enforcement Directorate had arrested the Rajya Sabha MP on Wednesday after raiding his residence in the national capital.

Sanjay Singh is the second high profile leader who has been arrested in this case. The ED officials had sought 10 days of remand to confront him with the digital evidences.

Meanwhile, a political war has started between the Aam Aadmi Party and Bhartiya Janata Party as the opposition is now calling for making the evidences public against Sanjay Singh.

"They are just putting false cases. Nothing comes out in the investigation. This is a waste of time of the investigative agencies. The country will not progress by putting false cases on people…" the Delhi Chief Minister said on Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court has asked the enforcement directorate officials to straightaway blame the Aam Aadmi Party instead of picking up single, single leader in this case.
