On PM Narendra Modi's 73rd birthday, Odisha artist pays smoke tribute

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be celebrating his 73rd birthday on September 17 and to make a mark on the day, a smoke artist Deepak Biswal, hailing from Cuttack, crafted a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, skillfully incorporating Odisha's rich heritage by featuring the Sun Temple's splendid wheel from Konark in the background. 

It must be noted that Konark's Sun temple wheel was also highlighted as a backdrop during the G20 Summit, recently held in New Delhi. PM Modi himself utilized the iconic Konark wheel of Odisha while welcoming world leaders and delegates at a presidential dinner.

The video of the artist paying tribute to the Prime Minister has been shared online by news agency ANI:

The artist used a combination of candle smoke, a needle (or an old pen nib), and a canvas to craft his artistic creations. Simultaneously, in Pune, a dedicated BJP worker commemorated PM Modi's 73rd birthday by skillfully crafting his portrait using grains and millets.
