Mumbai : Reliance Industries Limited in its Annual General Meeting (AGM) announced the much awaited Jio Phone with an offer that makes it completely free of cost for the user.

The intelligent smartphone (Jio Phone) will be available for beta testing from August 15.

"The JioPhone will be available to all Indians for an effective price of Rs zero," Ambani told the company's 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai. The phone will be available from Jio Infocomm, a fully-owned subsidiary of RIL.

The Jio Phone was launched by Mukesh Ambani's son and daughter Akash and Isha Ambani.

Features and Specifications of Reliance Jio Phone:

Reliance Jio Phone will support 22 Indian Languages to make itself more acceptable in every part of India.

It offers unlimited 4G voice calling, SMS to customers. For 4G data, customers need to pay Rs 153 per month.

A weekly plan for Rs 54 and a two-day plan for Rs 24 will also be available who cannot afford 153  Rs pack.

Reliance Jio Phone can be connected to any Television to watch videos.

How to buy Reliance Jio Phone:

Users will need to spend Rs 1500 at the initial phase, but this will be a refundable deposit ensuring that the device ends up being free for the users.

The pre booking of Jio Phone will begin from August 24 this year.

The Jio Phone will be available for all from September this year.
