Tech and Auto Awards 2018 winners: Huawei P20 Pro emerged as winner
New Delhi : While the market is flooded with good number of smartphones, Huawei P20 Pro emerged as the winner in the News 18 Tech and Auto Awards 2018. The triple camera powered phone has been declared as the 'best camera phone of the year'. In the race, the Apple iPhone XS Max went up against the Google Pixel 3 XL, the Huawei P20 Pro, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the OnePlus 6T.
Coming to the winner phone, Huawei P20 Pro it has three camera set-up combines a 40-megapixel (f/1.8 aperture) sensor, a 20-megapixel monochrome (f/1.6) sensor and an 8-megapixel (f/2.4) telephoto lens. The 40-megapixel sensor is 1/1.7 inches in size, and is the largest camera sensor in a smartphone since the 1/1.5-inch sensor seen in the Nokia Lumia 1020 way back in the year 2013. Users of Huawei P20 Pro also confirmed that they get photographs which are brilliantly-detailed, sharp and with vibrant colours.
Talking more about Huawei P20 Pro, it’s worth-mentioning that the smartphone is powered by Kirin 970 processor, paired with 6 GB RAM. It has been designed with 4,000 mAh battery to give back-up for long hours.
In case of Huawei P20 Pro smartphone, Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a big role. For suppose, you are framing a shot of your lunch, the camera will promptly detect “food” and switch to the best possible settings pre-set for that photograph. For portrait photographs too, the AI working in the background understands facial contours in the frame and blurs the background accurately.
In terms of optics, the aperture range, from f/2.4 all the way to the large f/1.8, is ideal for varying ambient lighting. The P20 Pro uses a technology known as Pixel Fusion, which combines data from multiple pixels into one 2.0 um-size pixel each when the camera shoots in the 10-megapixel setting, for better detailing in a low-light environment.
