Delhi : Apple is reportedly ramping up manufacturing in China for a few weeks in preparation for the February release of the Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, according to a recent Mark Gurman story in Bloomberg. By the end of January, customer-bound units should be prepared, and the launch is scheduled for the following month.

In yet another indication that the headset's debut is drawing near, software developers on Wednesday received an email from Apple urging them to "get ready" for the device by testing their apps for the platform. The study continued by discussing Apple's struggles with the Vision Pro and its efforts to modernise shops.

Beginning in January, Apple is holding two-day training seminars for retail staff members from each store, at least two per location, at its Cupertino headquarters in advance of the launch. After that, trainees will lead Vision Pro sales in their shop and instruct other staff members at home. The characteristics of the headset and the best sales messaging will be discussed in the sessions. However, employees will also get particular training on customer etiquette, such as how to put the gadget on customers' heads gently and in a way that makes them feel comfortable. The procedure will be aided by an Apple app that scans heads to determine appropriate accessory sizes.

Customers will need to wait for a lengthy rollout of the Vision Pro throughout Apple's retail locations. According to the source, Apple is renovating its stores to make more space for the range of accessories the Vision Pro will support, such as light seals that come in different sizes and prescription lenses.

In contrast to the several preview events that preceded the release of the Apple Watch, the excitement around Vision Pro following its June developers conference debut has been rather low. According to the source, there won't be as many activities in the days preceding the introduction of the Vision Pro as there were for the Apple Watch, which had two events. Instead of doing grand debuts, Apple will also highlight any other details of the device on its website.

$3,500 price tag alone and the product's limited initial distribution to the US, the report states, probably call for a more subdued launch. Furthermore, cautious expectations are necessary due to production complexity, which might result in a shortage. According to reports, Apple is already developing more cosy iterations in order to promote widespread adoption.

Aside from consumer sales, Apple believes that Vision Pro has potential in business and educational environments, two areas where prior augmented reality initiatives have mainly failed. Reportedly, the objective is to imitate the Apple Watch's inevitable mass appeal and integrate it into processes for learning and business.

If all goes according to plan, the release of the Vision Pro will pave the way for the first of several more new Apple mixed reality devices. The next version of visionOS, the operating system that drives the headgear, is apparently being developed by the business as well. Along with the next upgrades for Apple's other devices, this update is anticipated to go out later in 2024.
