This is not surprising, especially in light of Mark Zuckerberg's recent announcement that businesses on WhatsApp will soon have the option to subscribe to Meta Verified, which will offer them a verification badge in addition to a number of advantages like impersonation protection and specialized tech support.

Additionally, the source stated that Meta intends to make all of its applications' verification checkmarks the same color as Instagram and Facebook's, which are blue.

By harmonizing the color of the verification badge with Meta's branding and altering it to blue, WhatsApp could have a unified visual identity across all Meta platforms, the research said.
