New Delhi : The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, went on a rickshaw to attend a dinner hosted by the British High Commissioner in Pakistan at the National Monument in Islamabad. 'Yes, you read it right! The royal couple took a rickshaw'.

The royal couple, who is on a five day tour to Pakistan, hoped on to a specially painted and decorated motor rickshaw that was glittering with lights, to reach the venue of dinner.

For the occasion, Kate dressed in a glittering emerald green gown with traditional hanging earrings and Prince William was seen wearing a bandh-gala knee-length sherwani, usually worn for formal occasions or weddings - with matching trousers.

A video of their arrival has been shared by the official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Instagram. Have a look:

The royal couple is visiting Pakistan on a special request of the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This is the first royal tour to the country since 2006 when the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles, and Camilla, travelled to Pakistan.
