Pre-bookings now open for BMW 2 series gran coupe M performance edition
Delhi : On September 7, 2023, BMW India will introduce the 220i M Performance Edition. Bookings will be taken by the manufacturer starting on August 24, 2023 at 12:30 PM. The automobile will only be offered in Black Sapphire Metallic paint, and there won't be many of them. A pre-booking deposit of 1.5 lakh rupees is required, and only the BMW Online Shop may be used to make reservations.
A 2.0-liter twin-turbo petrol engine with a maximum power output of 173 bhp and 280 Nm between 1,350 and 4,600 rpm will power the BMW 220i M Performance Edition. The performance compact car has a 7.1-second 0-100 kmph acceleration time.
This 220i M Gran Coupe is a limited edition and has M Performance Front Grill, M Performance Alcantara Gear Selector Lever, and other BMW 'M' Performance components. The starting price for the base 2 Series Gran Coupe is 43.50 lakh ex-showroom. There are two versions available: M Sport and M Sport Pro. A 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine are the available powertrains. Between 1,350 and 4,600 rpm, the petrol engine's maximum power output is 173 bhp, while its maximum torque output is 280 Nm. A 7-speed Steptronic Sport transmission is connected to it. Shift-by-wire, paddle gear shifters mounted behind the steering wheel, drive modes for gear shifts, and launch control are additional features included with the M Sport Pro model.
Between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm, the diesel engine generates 400 Nm of maximum torque and 187 bhp of maximum power. An eight-speed transmission is connected to it. It is significant to note that only the M Sport model is available with the diesel engine.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has a virtual assistant, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a touchscreen infotainment system, gesture controls, and a digital instrument cluster as standard features. A particulate air filter for the cabin, LED lighting, Stability Control, airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a panoramic glass sunroof, frameless doors, a reversing assistant, a frameless rearview mirror, and more are included.
