Covid 19: Crew went abroad on duty ostracized by neighbours, says Air India

New Delhi : In a shocking development, airline crew members who had gone abroad on their duties are being rejected and detested by their localities and neighbours, said Air India.

"At many localities, neighbours ostracising crew members who went abroad on duty and even calling police," Air India officials said in a statement.

The airline requested police officials to ensure the safety of their crew members.

The members who were a part of evacuation drive in coronavirus hit countries were advised by the airline to go into home-quarantine for two weeks and meet a doctor in case any of the symptoms arise.

Now, it has been learned that people out of fear are harassing them by attempting to move them out from their localities.
