Petrol, Diesel prices remain unchanged after elections

Petrol, Diesel prices remain unchanged after elections

New Delhi : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had claimed that the prices of petrol and diesel will increase soon after the assembly elections results; contrary to the claim and expectations, the fuel prices remained unchanged.

This happened because UAE started providing more oil after sanctions were announced on Russia to control the fuel supply disruptions.

In Delhi, the petrol was being retailed at Rs 95.41 per litre and diesel was being sold Rs 86.67 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol currently costs Rs 109.98, while diesel is retailing at Rs 94.14, data available on Indian Oil Corporation’s website showed.

It must be noted that the government has been keeping the fuel prices steady for more than four months now.
